Qom Birds garden inauguration ceremony

Deputy of municipal services of Qom Municipality has announced on Sunday that Qom Birds Garden will be reopened in the next few days.

Referring to the easing of COVID-19 restrictions in the city of Qom, Abbas Zakerian said the birds garden will be reopened on Tuesday (November 30) in accordance with health protocols.

In an effort to provide the citizens with recreational centers and open the birds garden, the municipality of Qom has made several meetings with the related organizations, Zakerian added.

It should be noted that Qom’s urban management has long dealt with compensating the city’s shortcomings in the field of recreational and urban tourism spaces.

So, building the Qom Birds Garden can be considered an important approach in creating a suitable recreational space that enjoys the latest standards as well as particular designs that provide part of the city’s tourism infrastructure.

Qom Birds Garden is the second largest of its kind in Iran. This garden is also ranked third in the country in terms of species diversity.

The garden with an area of 70,000 square meters is located in Mofid Square and Shahid Avini Boulevard.

Construction of retaining walls, footpaths and pavements, entrance building and WCs, waterfall and pond, bird cages, and tropical cages are among the measures taken in this project.
