The head of the Women and Family Affairs Committee of Qom Islamic City Council emphasized the necessity of allocating funds to women and family affairs in municipalities, saying in order to achieve a standard and correct structure, we need to foresee the women and family budget in the municipal budget.
Narjes Niazmand made the remarks at the second meeting of the Women’s Committee of the Assembly of Mayors of Iran’s Metropolises, which was held in Tehran.
Pointing to the need to review the structure and organization of women and family in the municipalities of Iran’s metropolitan cities, she said, “Today, we need consensus and synergy to promote the cooperation of women’s affairs advisors in the municipalities of the country’s metropolises.”
She then reviewed the programs and actions of different cities in improving the working environment of municipal women and the social and environmental life of women in metropolitan cities.
In the field of women and family in the structure of municipalities, we need cultural, recreational, social and artistic programs and special programs to empower women, she added.
