50% of Qom Municipality’s annual budget allocated to 30 major urban projects

A member of the Qom Islamic City Council announced that 50% of the municipality’s construction budget was reserved for large-scale projects.

Majid Akhavan made the announcement referring to the significance of construction projects in the municipal budget.

More than 900 projects have been predicted in the annual budget of Qom Municipality, of which about 30 projects are among the major projects in the city, he said.

He considered that 50% of the construction budget of the municipality is reserved for large projects, adding, “These 30 mega-projects, which account for a large share of the budget, require special monitoring and supervision by the Islamic City Council and managers.”

The councilor went on to note that this supervision is part of the daily schedule of the city council members.

The member of the Qom Islamic Council reviewed some of the important projects of the city and stated that Hakim Boulevard in the continuation of Ferdowsi Boulevard is one of these prominent projects in the city, which starts from the continuation of Chamardan Street and extends to Imam Ali (AS) highway.
