Qom councilor stresses sustainable revenues for municipality

The head of the Qom Islamic City Council says we have to work on stable incomes and the use of taxes and coefficients so that we don’t find any problems in the budget.

Dr. Hossein Eslami made the remarks at the 59th official and public meeting of Qom Islamic City Council which was held in the meeting hall of Shahid Bakri building of the city council.

Expert meetings should be held with the representatives and provincial councils so that the law reaches the necessary maturity and the main policy, which was decentralization, is implemented, he underlined.

The chairman of city council of Qom also pointed out the problems and weaknesses of the law on sustainable revenues of municipalities, adding, “The Supreme Council of Provinces has a special status and cannot act actively, and metropolises cannot intervene and only send a representative, and the representative may be a member of a small town and not have enough Knowledge in the issues of metropolises.”
