Over 13,000 pilgrims left Qom’sterminals for pilgrimage in Muharram

The CEO of Qom Passenger Terminals Organization announced that more than 13,000 pilgrims have been sent from the municipality’s terminals to the holy shrines since the beginning of the month of Muharram.

Seyyed Reza Hosseini made the announcement referring to the provision of services to the pilgrims of the holy shrines during the month of Muharram.

More than 13,000 pilgrims have been transferred from the terminals of this organization since the beginning of Muharram with the service of about 600 buses, he stated.

The CEO of the Passenger Terminals Organization of Qom Municipality went on to note that these pilgrims were sent to Mehran and Shalamcheh borders every day and mostly from the central terminal of this organization.

This organization has been serving the pilgrims every day with various cultural programs and playing religious videos, and necessary preparations and plans have been made to provide services to the pilgrims of Arbaeen, which will be implemented from 20 days to Arbaeen, he asserted.

Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (PBUH) is the 20th day of Safar in the Hijri Lunar calendar and the anniversary of the 40th day after the Battle of Karbala when Imam Hussein (PBUH) and his companions were martyred on the Day of Ashura, (Muharram 10, 61 AH/October 10, 680).
