The director of Qom Municipality Cultural, Social and Sports Organization, emphasizes the municipality’s readiness to interact with the province’s education authorities in order to promote citizenship culture.
Seyyed Ahmad Tabatabaeinejad made the remarks on the sidelines of the “Citizen Teacher” ceremony at the Museum of the Martyrs of Zainuddin.
Institutionalizing the culture of citizenship and coexistence, if done from childhood and during the formation of students’ personalities, will play a permanent role in people’s lives, he said.
“Teachers have an important role to play in the golden age of educating and shaping students’ personalities,” he noted.
In this regard, promoting a culture of citizenship plays a vital role in building a better society, he added.
The head of the Cultural, Social and Sports Organization of Qom Municipality, stressed that Qom is in dire need of promoting and institutionalizing the culture of citizenship.
He went on to say that so far, the issue of citizenship culture has not been addressed as it deserves the status of the holy city of Qom.
Qom has extraordinary features in terms of identity and history, and in such a city, students should feel that living and being born in this holy city is an extraordinary opportunity to influence society and move towards greater excellence, he stated.
