Coinciding with the National Day of Transportation, a number of city managers in Qom attended a cycling tour which was held on December 16.
The cycling tour was held with the presence of a group of cyclists of Qom Cycling Board and some managers and officials of Qom city management.
Seyyed Mohammad Hossein Dehnad, Chairman of the Civil Engineering, Transportation and Traffic Commission of Qom City Council, Masoud Tabibi, the acting head of transportation and traffic deputy of Qom Municipality, managing directors of affiliated organizations, etc. were among the city managers who took part in the event.
The symbolic program was held to encourage the citizens to use clean and safe transportation in intercity travels.
It is planned to hold the tour weekly from December 17, the National Transportation Day, to January 19, National Clean Air Day, with the presence of city managers and different groups of citizens in various areas and routes of Qom.
Furthermore, in an effort to change the citizens’ traffic behavior, Masoud Tabibi, the acting head of transportation and traffic deputy of Qom Municipality stated that non-governmental organizations (NGOs) will be supported in order to encourage people to use clean transportation.
