‘Qom Day’ poster unveiled in 11th public meeting of City Council

The poster of ‘Qom Day’ was unveiled in the 11th public meeting of Qom City Council with the council members and the mayor of Qom in attendance.

In 2019, the Provincial Public Culture Council named the anniversary of the arrival of Hazrat Fatemeh Masoumeh (AS) in Qom, coinciding with the 23rd of Rabi al-Awal, as the ‘Day of Qom’.

Over the last three years, various programs have been performed to commemorate this historic day, which marked a turning point in the development of the city of Qom.

So, this year, Qom Municipality will implement 23 special cultural and artistic programs across the city on the eve of October 30 to celebrate the day.

Strengthening the sense of belonging to the city of Qom, increasing the individual and social identity of citizens, creating a platform to introduce investment opportunities and familiarizing Iranian people with cultural, religious, historical and scientific capacities of the city are among the main goals of ‘Qom Day’.

It is worth mentioning that Abolghasem Moghimi, Managing Director of Qom Municipality Cultural, Artistic and Sports Organization announced in the unveiling ceremony that they are consulting to record ‘Qom Day’ in the Iranian national calendar.

Last year, the mayor of Qom Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaeiannejad reiterated that “Qom Day” is a great opportunity to introduce the city in all aspects to the people.
