Qom Municipality’s asphalt factory among top 20 factories in country

The head of Qom Municipality Development and Civil Engineering Organization says Amir Kabir asphalt factory has been ranked among top 20 factories across the country.

Amir Kabir asphalt factory is one of the largest and the most powerful crushing sites in Iran, said Seyed Abolfazl Miryek Emami in an interview.

Miryek Emami went on to say that the asphalt factory has been handed over to Qom Municipality since 2013, and since then the municipality has taken steps to modernize the equipment, eliminate obsolete production methods and abandon the use of fossil fuels.

Stressing that the fully automatic asphalt factory of Qom Municipality is one of the top 20 factories in the country in terms of quantity and quality, he added it is the first asphalt factory in Iran that has high standards.

Moreover, he referred to the factory’s high volume of production, saying that with the production of 133 thousand tons of asphalt, it recently set an unprecedented record in the country.

The head of Qom Municipality Development and Civil Engineering Organization also announced earlier that Amir Kabir factory has achieved self-sufficiency in the production of asphalt.

The municipal official further touched upon the capability of Amir Kabir Asphalt factory engineers, saying that they excel at reverse engineering, repairing and manufacturing parts of asphalt factory in the country.
