Mayor appoints acting deputy of Urban Planning and Architecture of Qom Municipality

The mayor of Qom has appointed Masoud Milani as the acting Deputy of Urban Planning and Architecture of Qom municipality. 

Following Gholamreza Janghorban’s pass away, the late Deputy of Urban Planning and Architecture of Qom Municipality, Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaiannejad appointed Milani as the acting Deputy of Qom Municipality’s Urban Planning and Architecture in a decree issued on Sunday.

“Closely monitoring the observance of rules and regulations and implementing the issues related to Iranian and Islamic architecture and urban planning under the instructions of the Supreme Leader that were mentioned in the Qom Vision document 1414 are emphasized,” Saghaiannejad wrote in the appointment decree.

Masoud Milani was previously in charge of the General Department of Supervision of Urban Planning Qom Municipality’s Deputy for Urban Planning and Architecture.

In the meantime, Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaiannejad had been reinstated as mayor of Qom for the third time by the Islamic City Council on August 7.

He was elected as the mayor of Qom in 2014 by the members of the fourth term of Qom Islamic City Council, and two years later, as the fifth City Council was formed, he remained in his position with 13 votes.

When the sixth Islamic City Council of Qom was formed last month, the members reviewed Saghaiannejad’s performance in his tenure. They voted for him to continue his responsibility in Qom municipality.
