Qom Municipality inaugurates 3 large green space, cultural & civil projects

Within the ‘Qom on the path of development’ framework, the Qom Municipality launched the Great Park of Hazrat Khezr Nabi (AS), Martyrs Jafarinia Cultural and Sports Complex, and the rest of Martyr Soleimani Boulevard on the 9th week of inaugurations.

The inauguration ceremony of the three large green space, cultural and civil projects was held in the presence of Qom governor, mayor of Qom, chairman and members of the Islamic City Council of Qom, Civil Deputy of Qom Governorate, provincial officials, and city managers.

Martyrs Jafarinia Cultural and Sports Complex was started to be constructed in 2009 in district 4 and it has been cost over 150 billion rials so far.

The complex, having 2400 square meters of buildings and one thousand square meters of land and green space, was built in order to increase the cultural and sports per capita of Qom.

Following the Qom municipality’s measures to pursue “Qom on the path of development’ plan, the rest of Martyr Soleimani Boulevard was also constructed with a credit of 60 billion Rials.

The project which was begun in 2017 mainly aimed at improving traffic and reducing traffic congestion in the city center.

Furthermore, on the 9th week of inaugurations, the first phase of Hazrat Khezr Nabi (AS) Park has been built between Martyr Avini Boulevard and Khezr Nabi (AS) Mountain.

Developing the recreational green space of the region, increasing the per capita green space of the region, and creating a place for the citizens to have fun are among the main goals of the project.

The salient features of this project, with an area of 420,000 square meters, include special topography and unique dimensions, long and continuous walking and cycling routes, and the possibility of being connected to the Garden Museum of Holy Defense and the Islamic Revolution and the Bird Garden.

It is worth mentioning that in order to increase the cultural and sports per capita in the city’s 8 districts, the urban management complex has recently constructed cultural and sports centers, which have already been put into operation in districts one, two, and six, and the rest will be opened by the end of the year.
