Qom municipality has scheduled to mark the Decade of Benevolence, the ten days between birth anniversary of Hazrat Masoumeh (AS) and his brother, the eighth Shia Imam.
The mayor of Qom Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaiannejad announced that Qom municipality has taken measures, such as launching caravans of joy, performing social vitality programs, etc. to celebrate the decade of Benevolence.
Touching upon the necessity and importance of celebrating the Decade of Benevolenc, Saghaiannejad said the municipality’s programs are aimed at promoting Islamic culture and teachings.
He went on to say that Qom municipality is going to perform special cultural programs with the participation of Holy Shrine of Fatemeh Masoumeh (AS) and based on the content document of the Decade of Benevolence in 2021.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the mayor of Qom said department of communication and cultural affairs of Qom municipality is also taking actions in the fields of environmental advertising, cultural programs and cyberspace with the focus on displaying messages and statements of the late Imam Khomeini and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
A joint art workshop will also be held by Qom Municipality and the Holy Shrine of Fatemeh Masoumeh (AS), he noted, adding that in the workshop some artists will create artworks in the forms of media productions, clips and graphics.
