The head of the Qom Islamic City Council described Martyr Soleimani as a model of self-improvement, socialization, and civilization building, and said, ” Martyr General Soleimani became the hero of both the Iranian nation and the Islamic nation, and the Iranian people will honor the name of Martyr Soleimani and his companions.”
Dr. Hossein Eslami made the remarks in the 69th official and public meeting of Qom Islamic City Council with reference to the third martyrdom anniversary of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani.
The anniversary of the martyrdom of Martyr Soleimani is the international day of resistance and martyrdom, a person who is a model of sincerity and action, he stated.
And according to the Supreme Leader, the martyrdom of General Soleimani is a historical event, an event that will not be forgotten in history and will be recorded, the councilor added.
Martyr Soleimani became the hero of both the Iranian nation and the Islamic nation, and the Iranian people will honor the name of Martyr Soleimani and his companions, he noted.
Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy head of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), were assassinated along with their companions in a US terror drone strike authorized by Trump near Baghdad International Airport on January 3, 2020.
