A specialized meeting on using the lessons learned from the Bam earthquake was held in Qom Municipality with the virtual presence of the Minister of Roads and Urban Development, provincial officials, and administrators of the municipality.
On the occasion of the 26th of December, the National Day of Earthquake Safety and Reducing the Effects of Natural Disasters, a specialized meeting on using the lessons learned from the Bam earthquake was held in Qom Municipality, coinciding with the whole country.
The event was hosted by the deputy of Urban Planning and Architecture of Qom Municipality.
At the beginning of this meeting, Majid Mateenfard, the deputy of Urban Planning and Architecture of Qom Municipality, presented statistics on the state of the urban decay of Qom city and emphasized the necessity of the participation and efforts of all executive bodies in urban reconstruction and revitalization of the urban decay.
Also, Alireza Khaki, CEO of the Organization for Renovation, Improvement and Beautification of the Holy Shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (PBUH), presented a report on the situation in Qom city in terms of improving the urban decay and its solutions.
Farhad Yamola, the secretary of this meeting and the head of the Urban Planning and Research Department of Qom Municipality’s Urban Planning and Architecture deputy, also said that the purpose of this meeting was to use the many years of experience of managers and officials in the field of regeneration and reconstruction of Bam after the deadly earthquake in this city.
