The CEO of the Parks and Green Spaces Organization of Qom Municipality said that the 10-kilowatt solar power plant of Fadak Park has been built and after the completion of its facilities, it will be put into operation.
Payam Javadian announced the construction of a 10-kilowatt solar power plant in Fadak Park and said that this power plant will be fully operational in the coming days and will be connected to the electricity distribution network of the province.
He emphasized that according to the electricity distribution company, the parks organization is the pioneer in the construction of solar power plants among the country’s major cities and has made significant progress in this sector.
During this period, when the measures for the construction of solar power plants in Qom city started, we were able to produce more than 350 megawatt hours of electricity and put it into operation, he added.
Regarding the long hours of sunlight in most days of the year in the desert city of Qom, it is logical to build solar power plants to reduce dependence on environmentally destructive production methods for electricity production, he asserted.
