Qom Municipality implements 21 road adaptation projects

The deputy Technical and Civil Engineer of Qom Municipality, referring to the importance of adapting urban roads for the disabled, says that a total of 21 streets have been adapted so far.

Abbas Halvaizadeh made the remarks in a meeting to examine aspects of the optimization of the city of Qom for people with disability.

This meeting was held with the presence of the representatives of people with spinal cord amputations, the blind, as well as the deputies who are responsible for the city’s adaptation, such as the deputy of transportation, urban planning, and technical and civil engineering of the municipality.

In total, 21 sidewalks have been improved, some of them including the 19 Dey Street sidewalk, Amin and Sadoughi Boulevard sidewalks, and some of these projects are ongoing, and 17 parks and 12 buildings have been improved, he stated.

And in the wheelchair passage system, the special path for the blind, the construction of special toilets for the disabled and proper access are among the measures that have been predicted in the designs, he added.
