The CEO of Qom Municipality Transport and Traffic Organization said that in order to make the city space suitable for disabled people, more than 110 special signs and wheelchair paths have been installed in eight districts of the city.
Hossein Shabanzadeh made the comments while elaborating on the actions taken by Transport and Traffic Organization regarding people with disabilities.
Developing and creating suitable environments without obstacles for all members of society with different physical capabilities, and mental and psychological capacities is a necessary action that improves the quality of life, he said.
He also described the realization of the “Slogan of equalizing job and educational opportunities equally for all members of society” as one of the important goals of the municipality and transportation deputy.
He stressed special attention to the issue of people with disabilities and said, “Considering the challenges these people face and paying attention to them will provide the opportunity to empower people with disabilities and will lead to the preparation of their social participation.
