The director general of Communications and International Affairs of Qom Municipality announced the anticipation of holding celebrations for the victory of the Iran national team nicknamed as Team Melli against the US and advancing to the second stage of the World Cup with considerations of security issues and the cooperation of the city’s cultural institutions.
Mehdi Kalantarzadeh described the victory of the Iranian national football team against the United States in the first stage of the Qatar 2022 World Cup as a great victory for Iran.
If this success is achieved and concurrent with the blessed birthday of Hazrat Zeinab Kobra (PBUH), Qom Municipality will also take a series of measures and programs for the social enthusiasm of the citizens in this great national celebration, he said.
He mentioned several stages of illumination of the sky with fireworks as one of these programs.
Holding street parties in different places and widespread distribution of the Iranian flag, creating attractive ceremonies and programs, and distributing chocolates and sweets are among the other planned programs for this national celebration, he added.
He predicted the implementation of these special cultural programs with the participation and cooperation of the cultural institutions of the city and under the supervision of the Council of Security.
