The deputy of Transport and Traffic of Qom Municipality announced the smartening of the first intersection of the city in Ghalam Square, noting various traffic control systems are being launched and the city’s traffic area is being smartened.
Masoud Tabibi made the comments during the visit of the members of the Transport and Traffic Commission of the Qom Islamic City Council to the traffic projects in the city.
Today, a human-centered approach in the implementation of traffic projects is a principle and we must pay more attention to this point, he said.
He Touched upon the ongoing projects in the city, adding, “Calming traffic using traffic control systems and implementing standard speed limits, developing and improving the quality of public transportation in the city, and improving the bus and taxi fleet are among the most important goals of the municipality at this point.”
The deputy of Transport and Traffic of Qom Municipality considered the modernization of the taxi and bus fleet and concluded, “Today, we are witnessing the entry of 43 refurbished taxis into the taxi fleet and the opening of an efficient system for providing internet taxis under the direct supervision of taxi drivers.”
