400 taxi cars to be refurbished by yearend in Qom

The head of the Qom Municipality’s Taxi Management and Supervision Organization announced the refurbishment of 400 taxis by the end of the year, saying in recent days, 43 Samand vehicles have been renovated, and in the next phase, about 400 taxis will be refurbished.

Ali Nik made the announcement during the visit of the members of the Civil, Transport and Traffic Commission of the Islamic City Council and the deputy of Transport and Traffic of Qom Municipality to the projects in the field of transportation in the city.

He pointed to the renovation of the taxi fleet in 1401 and stated, “With the follow-ups done, we were able to start the renovation of the taxi fleet again.”

He went on to announce the allocation of bank facilities of 100 million tomans with 2% interest.

With the allocation of this loan, more than 43 taxis have been renovated and we are waiting for the announcement of the type of taxi from the taxi union to continue the refurbishment, he added.
