Qom mayor offers condolences on Shiraz terrorist attack

Issuing a condolence message, the mayor of Qom extended his condolences on the terrorist attack at the holy shrine of Shahcheragh in Shiraz.

The martyrdom of a group of innocent compatriots in a terrorist attack inside the holy shrine of Hazrat Ahmad bin Musa, peace be upon him, is a great sadness and a terrible tragedy, the unpleasant taste of which will not be forgotten and will leave a mark on history, Morteza Saghaiannejad wrote.

“The occurrence of this unfortunate incident in the days when the sworn enemies of this land and border dream of defeating it is a warning for those who are still searching for the truth in a path other than the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

“Condolence on the martyrs of this painful incident to Saheb al-Asr, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the honorable nation of Islamic Iran, and especially the bereaved people of Fars province and the city of Shiraz, I wish health for the rest of the injured in this incident, from God.”

Fifteen pilgrims, including a woman and two children, lost their lives and at least 40 others were wounded after a heavily-armed terrorist attacked the popular shrine in Iran’s southwestern province. The incident took place at around 5:45 p.m. local time (1415 GMT) on Wednesday just before the evening prayers.
