Qom urban management voices readiness for interaction with Iraqi pilgrimage cities

The head of the Construction and Transportation Commission of Qom City Council said favorable conditions and backgrounds are available for increasing cooperation and transfer of experience between religious cities of Iran and pilgrimage cities of Iraq.

Seyyed Mohammad Hossein Dehnad stated that the municipality is at the forefront of providing services to citizens and pilgrims, and Qom Municipality is ready to increase communication and interaction with the municipalities of Iraq, especially in different dimensions of service delivery.

During the meeting with Seyyed Ahmed Al-Mahna, the head of the municipalities of Najaf Ashraf province in Iraq, good negotiations and discussions were held in order to transfer experience and interaction in the field of development of smart infrastructure, fiber optics, transportation and high technical capacity in carrying out construction projects, etc, he added.

He asserted that the failed experiences of the world’s cities in the implementation of some construction projects should not be repeated in developing cities and countries.

The metropolis of Qom has valuable experiences in the civil, technical and executive fields that can provide these experiences to the Iraqi side in the form of operational models, he concluded.
