The head of Qom Municipality’s Taxi Management and Supervision Organization says in the second phase, 30 pos machines have been installed on taxis and drivers are required to receive the fare according to the approved price.
Ali Nik made the comments while stressing the importance of eliminating cash payments in taxis.
In order to serve citizens and passengers, the plan to eliminate cash fares from taxis by installing electronic payment devices on taxis in Qom city has started and is being implemented, he stated.
He declared the second route of eliminating the payment of cash fares: taxis from Janbazan Square to Pardisan town and Golzar Shahada.
30 pos devices have been installed on the taxis of this route, and the necessary information has been provided at the taxi stations as well as inside the taxis, he added.
This plan will be implemented as the second phase in the JanbazanSquare routes and then in other lines and other taxis, he outlined.
