The mayor of Qom announced that the municipality would focus on software and cultural issues in urban programs and projects in 1401.
Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaiannejad made the remarks in a meeting with the Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi while stressing balance in the physical and cultural development of the city.
In the past years, we have tried to promote the city as the city deserves and introduce Qom as a developed and advanced Shia metropolis to the world, he said.
The mayor then elaborated on measures and plans of Qom Municipality in 1400, as well as the strategies and activities of the last 7 years of the municipality in the form of 5-year operational plans.
The implementation of significant projects in 1400 in several stages of opening and operation, including 100 urban projects at the end of the year was one of the significant actions that were completed with the efforts of all employees of Qom Municipality and were presented to the people, he stated.
Dr. Saghaiannejad noted that the most important priority of the municipality in the second operational plan of Qom 1404 is to pay attention to software and cultural issues.
Other bodies in charge of cultural duties must also cooperate with the municipality and perform their duties, he concluded.
