Qom Municipality ads. eye promoting citizenship culture: CCO

The Director General of Communications and International Affairs of Qom Municipality says the municipality uses the capacity of environmental advertisements to promote the culture of citizenship stressing cultural events in Qom should not be monopolized.

Mehdi Kalantarzadeh made the remarks in the seventh meeting of the Social harms Prevention and Treatment Headquarters, which was hosted by Qom Municipality and attended by Dr. Saghaiannejad, Mayor of Qom.

About 1200 commercial structures belonging to Qom Municipality have been handed over to the private sector through contracts, he stated.

Also, some advertising areas and information boards in Qom are at the disposal of private companies under the supervision of the responsible agencies, the chief communication officer noted.

He went on to say that 172 information structures along with 2 24-meter digital displays and 50 cultural structures of Qom Municipality are active in cultural awareness throughout the year.

He reiterated that during the past years, with the emphasis of the Public Culture Council, many billboards that did not fit the position of the holy city of Qom have been collected.

The General Directorate of Islamic Culture and Guidance is the only authority that can approve the content of commercial structures installed in the city, he concluded.
