The head of the Civil Engineering and Transportation Commission of the IslamicCity Council of Qom has said the presence of knowledge-based and scientific-research groups can help improve the efficiency of various areas of urban management.
Seyyed Mohammad Hossein Dehnad made the remarks today in the 32nd official and public session of the Islamic City Council of Qom.
Regarding the role of urban management in the realization of the slogan of 1401, he stated that urban management, along with other institutions, has a heavy duty in using more and more of the scientific capacities of the country.
He further pointed out that Iran is in a good position in terms of scientific and research indicators.
Lack of proper communication between scientific and research institutions and knowledge-based companies with industry and inadequate use of these sciences and researches in different parts of the country, has reduced youth employment, employment of specialized personnel in unrelated and non-specialized occupations and reduced productivity, as well, he noted.
Ayatollah Khamenei also designated the new Iranian calendar year of 1401 as the year of “Production: Knowledge-Based and Job-Creating.”
In his Nowruz message, the leader called on the government and the nation to work hard to boost knowledge-based production and create new jobs.
