Qom mayor meets Finnish ambassador

Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaeiannejad, mayor of Qom has met with the ambassador of Finland and his entourage on Wednesday. 

In his trip to Qom, Ambassador Kari Kahiluoto was accompanied by his deputy, Amy Colta, and director general of the Iran-Finland Friendship Association.

During the meeting, which took place in the office of the Mayor of Qom, Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaiannejad and the Ambassador of Finland have discussed the expansion of cooperation between Qom and Finland.

In this meeting, the two sides also exchanged views on the existing capacities for cooperation between the city of Qom and Finland.

The mayor of Qom in this meeting, referring to the capacities of this city, emphasized the importance of bilateral cooperation, especially in the field of waste management.

Kari Kahiluoto, for his part, described the three issues of waste management, smart city, and water management as suitable areas for cooperation between the city of Qom and Finland.

Moreover, the director general of the Iran-Finland Friendship Association also stressed the significance of transferring know-how between the two countries.

He suggested that the issue of waste management be considered as a key issue in the cooperation between the city of Qom and Finland.
