Using technology on agenda to increase Nowruz travelers’ stay time in Qom

Qom Municipality Deputy of Transportation and Traffic has announced that we will use technology to increase Nowruz travelers’ stay time in the city.

Massoud Tabibi made the announcement in the meeting of the Qom Municipality Urban Services Committee on Tuesday.

Pointing out that after two years of hiatus in holding mid-Shaban celebrations and hosting Nowruz travelers due to the spread of the coronavirus, he said we can properly host pilgrims and travelers to the holy city of Qom by observing hygienic procedures.

In the field of transportation and traffic, based on the experiences of the previous year such as the weather conditions, traffic junctions, causes of accidents, and other related issues, we scientifically designed a moving system for mid-Shaban to control traffic, he noted.

He went on to say that in developing this plan, we have tried to direct the flow of traffic and separate pedestrians from vehicles.

The traffic police of Qom province and city had very good cooperation with us in this field, and we hope to see the ease of traffic this year, he added.

Qom Municipality Deputy of Transportation and Traffic concluded that booklets are prepared for different types of users and tasks are specified; As an example for parking lots, we have considered coloring so that pilgrims do not have trouble finding their parking lot
