The director general of communications and international affairs of Qom Municipality says that the designing of a comprehensive information map of the city is at the final stages.
Mehdi Kalantarzadeh made the remarks in the meeting of the Qom Municipality Urban Services Committee on Tuesday.
He stated that the Pilgrim Information and Guidance Committee follows the issues with two approaches including mid-Shaban celebrations and Nowruz holidays.
It was decided that with the cooperation of Telecommunications, a text message would be sent to the pilgrims and travelers upon arrival, containing a welcome message as well as a link that contains all the needs, maps, information, and numbers required by the pilgrims, he said.
Urban space construction, as in previous years, is done purposefully and the tourist routes would be marked, Kalantarzadeh added.
He went on to note that the comprehensive map of the city is being finalized and has been modified several times based on service updates to meet the maximum information needs of pilgrims and travelers.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he announced the publication of a high-circulation information brochure with the help of the private sector.
The Director General of Communications and International Affairs of Qom Municipality stated that “We are trying to use the modern tools to increase the stay time of pilgrims and travelers in the city of Qom, in this regard a “treasure hunt” contest has been designed that includes all tourist areas of the city during Nowruz, the details of which will be informed.”
