Local engineers’ ability made Qom self-sufficient in asphalt production

The head of Qom Municipality Development and Civil Engineering Organization says due to the ability of local engineers in repairing and producing parts of asphalt factory, the city of Qom has become self-sufficient in producing asphalt.

Today, the city of Qom has the opportunity to cooperate with the private sector in handing over the surplus of asphalt production, stated Seyed Abolfazl Miryek Emami on Saturday in an interview.

Miryek Emami touched upon the capability of Amir Kabir Asphalt factory engineers, saying that the engineers and staff of Amir Kabir factory excel at reverse engineering, repairing and manufacturing parts of asphalt factory in the country.

Elsewhere in his remarks, he noted that the sanctions imposed on Iran and the rising prices of dollars and euros made it impossible to purchase new parts for the factory so the engineers of Amir Kabir factory, relying on their capabilities, were able to repair and produce the required parts of the factory inside and become self-sufficient.

The municipal official further reiterated that the city of Qom is now one of the scientific and engineering authorities in repairing parts of asphalt factories in the country and has been able to meet the needs of many cities in the supply of foreign parts.
