The managing director of the Qom Municipality Beautification Organization has announced that more than 2,000 square meters of the city’s schools’ walls have been painting on the occasion of the beginning of the new school year.

In order to prepare the city space for the beginning of the new academic year, the municipality has taken different measures, like painting and improving the city’s appearance, said Seyyed Mohammad Mousavi Manesh in an interview on Saturday.

By painting the doors and walls of the schools, the Qom Municipality Beautification Organization attempted to provide an attractive atmosphere for the students in case the schools reopen, Mousavi Manesh noted.

He went on to say that school elements are being repaired and installed in the eighth districts of Qom on the occasion of the beginning of the school year.

Last week, Qom Municipality Director General of Coordination and Supervision of Urban Services said the municipality has implemented various traffic, welfare, and beautification programs to make the city ready for the reopening of schools.

Seyyed Mohsen Mirhadi had also noted that painting school walls, washing student and pedestrian crossings to create a safe environment for students to move in front of schools, cleaning up vacant lots around schools and moving waste to a landfill are among some of the measures that have been taken by the municipality coinciding with the beginning of the new academic year.
