Qom metro project 90% complete: Official

The governor of Qom has announced 90 percent progress of the first phase of Qom metro project.

Bahram Sarmast made the remarks in a meeting with Vice President and Head of Plan and Budget Organization Mohammad Bagher Nobakht Haghighi.

Sarmast also called for speeding up the funding of semi-finished projects, including the first phase of the Qom metro line one and the administrative infrastructure of the newly established cities of the province.

The Qom governor expressed hope that with the assistance and cooperation of the Plan and Budget Organization (PBO), Qom municipality, and Khatam al-Anbia construction headquarter, this strategic and vital project for the city of Qom will be inaugurated on time.

Appreciating the PBO and government’s support, the official referred to providing credit for the implementation of water transmission line to the province’s industrial towns and the supplies needed to set up offices in newly established cities as the issues requested by the province in this meeting.

Touching upon the credits the PBO predicted for Qom province, Mohammad Baqer Nobakht stressed the need to speed up the allocation of funds requested by the province in the field of construction.

He also stated that we are trying to provide the resources needed to establish governorates, new districts and affiliated offices in the cities of Kahak and Jafarabad.
