Investment in Qom’s waste management on agenda

The Islamic City Council of Qom explored all avenues to buy digestion systems for dry waste management in the city.

The public session of the Islamic City Council of Qom was held on Tuesday with the presence of Jalali, the chairman of the council, Saghaiannejad, the mayor of Qom, members of the city council as well as the deputy mayors.

The issue of buying a dry digester for waste management in the city of Qom was among the topics discussed in the Tuesday session.

Referring to the significance of waste management, the Vice President of the Islamic City Council of Qom stated that the municipality’s move in using new technologies in waste management is admirable.

Hassan Bakhtiari emphasized the matter of waste management and using new technologies in the five-year plan of Qom Municipality noting that this issue has sustainable environmental effects in the city.

Meanwhile, Seyed Mojtaba Sobhani, the head of the Urban Services Commission of the Islamic City Council of Qom, pointed out that this decision is of a great importance and added legal experts should review all aspects of it.

Renovation of parts of the bus fleet and construction of a residential complex in Qom were also discussed in the council.
