Qom Municipality hoists black flag on demise anniv. of Hazrat Masoumeh (AS)

Coinciding with the demise anniversary of Hazrat Fatemeh Masoumeh (AS), black flags were hoisted by the municipality of Qom in the city’s streets.

Qom Municipality has created a special mourning atmosphere in the city’s 8 districts by blackening the city’s streets, squares, etc.

The municipality has also prepared environmental advertisements in the city of Qom which mainly introduce the Seerah of Hazrat Fatemeh Masoumeh (AS) and commemorate her great position in the Islamic World.

It also planned to broadcast mourning songs form Qom’s notification speakers on the occasion of Hazrat Fatemeh Masoumeh’s demise.

Hazrat Fatemeh Masoumeh (AS) is the daughter of Imam Musa Kadhim (PBUH) and the sister of Imam Reza (PBUH).

She arrived in the city in the year 816 (AD) on her way to Mashhad but passed away a few days later and was buried in Qom.

The 10th day of the lunar Hijri month of Rabi al-Thani (Tuesday, November 16 this year) marks her demise anniversary.

Every year, several groups of mourners from different parts of Qom province and also from across the country gathered at the holy shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (AS) ahead of the demise anniversary of the noble lady, but in the last two years, due to the Coronavirus limitations, religious ceremonies were canceled.
