Qom urban management need to pay special attention to the development of recreational and welfare infrastructures, Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaeiannejad said on Wednesday.

Saghaeiannejad also noted that creating social vitality is one of the missions of the municipality, and we must create healthy recreational spaces for the citizens so that we can also plan for cultural education.

In this regard, Qom Municipality has paid attention to construct recreational and welfare facilities such as telesiege, amusement parks, various gardens, etc., he added.

Elsewhere in his remarks, he said as the Coronavirus ends, Qom will annually receive more than 20 million pilgrims so it needs tourist attractions to increase the travelers’ stay time and boost the city’s economy.

At present, Qom pilgrims stay in the city for only 4 to 5 hours, but if the time increases to a few days, we will see a great change in the city’s economy, the mayor reiterated.
