Family shooting competitions, which were held on the occasion of “Qom Day”, came to an end with the winners being honored.
As part of the “Qom Day” sports and recreation programs, the family shooting competitions were begun form November 6 with the participation of 150 family teams.
The event was held with the cooperation of Qom Municipality’s Cultural, Artistic and Sports Organization and Qom Shooting Board.
Mostafa Molaei, Chairman of the Social and Cultural Commission of Qom City Council, Abolghasem Moghimi, Managing Director of Qom Municipality Cultural, Artistic and Sports Organization, and Rasoul Monem, Director General of Sports and Youth of Qom Province attended the closing ceremony at Meysam Shooting Hall.
Speaking at the ceremony, Molaei appreciated Cultural, Artistic and Sports Organization for holding family recreational sports programs and announced that Qom City Council will support such sports events.
It is worth mentioning that over 500 citizens of Qom participated at these competitions in the family shooting competitions in the form of four-member family teams.
In an effort to commemorate the historic “Day of Qom”, Qom Municipality has performed various cultural, artistic, and sports programs.
In 2019, the Provincial Public Culture Council named the anniversary of the arrival of Hazrat Fatemeh Masoumeh (AS) in Qom, coinciding with the 23rd of Rabi al-Awal, as the “Day of Qom”.
