The head of the smart city headquarters of Qom Municipality says the municipality has planned to strengthen innovative events and make more use of think tanks capacities in carrying out urban projects.
Saying that one of the main measures the municipality has taken in recent years was the establishment of think tanks, Homayoun Yazdanpanah noted the plan was approved by the council of deputy mayors and was put into operation.
The measure was mainly aimed at using the capacity of elites inside and outside the municipality to solve the problems, Yazdanpanah stated.
He went on to say that the next step is to determine the problems’ importance, prioritize them and take action to solve them, reporting that according to the research, in different parts of the world, the problems are presented to elites, young people, startups, etc. and name it an event.
Elaborating on the executive process of holding an event, he reiterated that last year, technological events were held in the department of municipal services and was widely welcomed.
