Inauguration ceremony of Qom’s 6th Islamic City Council held

The inauguration ceremony of the elected members of the sixth term of Qom Islamic City Council was held on Thursday.

The ceremony was held at Imam Reza (AS) Hall in the Qom Governorate building with the presence of the Qom Governor and the Chairman of the Election Inspection Board of Qom Province.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Morteza Heidari, the governor of Qom stated that the fifth term of the Qom Islamic City Council had about 2,000 resolutions, most of which were approved by the Implementation Committee.

The Qom Islamic City Council has always been one of the most efficient councils that has performed very well, Heidari added.

City council elections are a symbol of democracy in Iran, he stressed, noting that members of the Islamic City Council can better follow the process of solving challenges due to their accurate knowledge of the city’s problems.

The people have faced unprecedented challenges in recent years due to oppressive sanctions and livelihood problems, and it is hoped that the public welfare situation will change in the new era, he also mentioned

Qom governor finally said that about 20,000 people were involved in holding the sixth term Islamic City Council in Qom.

The closing ceremony of the fifth term of the Qom Islamic City Council was also held on Thursday in the presence of the members of this term, the Qom mayor, the deputy mayors as well as the elected members of the sixth term of the Islamic City Council of Qom.
