Mayor: Over 3,000 projects opened in Qom

The mayor of Qom Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaiannejad says that more than three thousand large and small projects have been launched in the city over the last few years of urban management in Qom.

In recent years, the urban management have focused on the fact that no project should be suspended even when we are facing economic recession, Dr. Saghaiannejad stated at the closing ceremony of the fifth term of the Islamic City Council of Qom.

Saying last year, many projects were inaugurated and operationalized in the city of Qom in five stages, he noted that this year’s projects have also been implemented in the framework of “Qom on the path of development” plan on a weekly basis.

He highlighted that the projects continue to be launched this year, noting it should not be forgotten that they have been realized amid the economic recession, US imposed sanctions against the country, Coronavirus pandemic, and other problems.

The mayor also confirmed that all the successes that have been achieved in urban management in recent years were due to the unity of city and provincial management in advancing the projects.

He finally said that obviously, in order to continue achieving our high-level goals, we must try to strengthen our unity and contribute in the progress of our city.
