The head of Qom Municipality Development and Civil Engineering Organization says all firefighters are equipped with individual requirements and a complete set of clothes.
Providing a complete set of clothes and personal equipment for a firefighter currently costs more than 1000 million rials, Abbas Jafari stated.
Jafari noted that Qom fire stations are of high standard, adding the construction of the central fire station on the Boulevard of the Great Prophet (PBUH) has begun since last year.
Elaborating on the efforts of Qom Municipality Development and Civil Engineering Organization to provide all the personnel with a complete set of individual requirements, he said unlike the past, when there were a small number of respirators in fire stations, today each firefighter has a separate respirator.
He went on to say that at present, all personnel are individually provided with a complete set of equipment, including respirators, hats, boots, gloves and firefighting clothes.
The municipal official touched upon rising prices for specialized firefighting equipment, adding the organization has spent more than 1000 million rials to provide a complete set of clothes and personal equipment for a firefighter.
The head of Qom Municipality Development and Civil Engineering Organization also appreciated the urban management that has spared no effort to upgrade the organization in terms of manpower, equipment, etc., so that today we are one of the leading fire departments in the country.
