The head of the Information and Communication Technology Organization of Qom Municipality says that Qom card is an electronic citizenship card which provides various e-services to people.
Elaborating on the programs of ICT organization, Kourosh Mohammad-Hosseini referred to the Qom Card project as one of the most significant projects which became operational in order to provide services to citizens.
The municipal official also said that Qom card is a multi-purpose card which can widely be used in the fields of transportation and fare payment.
Qom card has replaced bus ticket card, but it can be used for other purposes which are gradually becoming operational, he reiterated.
He also explained the replacement of the old cards with Qom cards, saying although the cost of producing and implementing new cards is high, they are exchanged for free for the citizens’ welfare.
The head of the Information and Communication Technology Organization of Qom Municipality pointed out that since the beginning of this year, all city buses exclusively accept the new cards and the old cards will not be used.
Mohammad-Hosseini earlier emphasized the organization’s efforts to develop electronic citizen services, stating that the municipality has long been active in the field of implementation of electronic systems and services.
