The mayor of Qom has announced the opening of 45 projects during the next 12 weeks in the framework of “Qom on the path of development” plan.
Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaiannejad made the remarks on the sidelines of a ceremony to launch three urban projects of Sardar Shahid Azizzadegan Cultural and Sports Complex, Imamat Boulevard, and Setayesh Park
Every Wednesday, the opening ceremonies of 45 sports, cultural, services, traffic, environmental, and green space projects to be held in Qom to witness the acceleration of the development path, Saghaiannejad noted.
Referring to the six-year performance of the city’s 8 districts, he said Qom has been developing rapidly and this process can speed up with more practical actions.
He also touched upon the performance of Qom Municipality in developing the green space of District 2, saying that today, the area with a per capita green space of more than 30 square meters is no longer a deprived area in the field of green space, and the number even goes beyond international standards.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the mayor of Qom pointed out that the spread of the coronavirus and the need to follow health protocols are the most important factors in delaying the opening of some recreational projects, and we hope that these opportunities will be available to citizens soon.
The municipal official mentioned the three recreational and tourism projects of Ghadir amusement park, TeleSage in Alavi Park, and Bird Garden as examples of recreational projects ready for operation, adding if the projects are reopened, we will see the improvement of the quality of youth leisure in Qom.
