The director general of the Qom Municipality Fire and Safety Services Organization announced that fire stations in Qom have grown 100% in recent years.
Abbas Jafari made the remarks at a graduation ceremony of the new forces of Qom Municipality Fire and Safety Services Organization.
welcoming the newcomers to Qom Fire Department, Jafari said that according to its mission, the fire department should have skilled forces to provide operational measures to serve the city and citizens.
He outlined that firefighting is generally considered to be a difficult and harmful job, and many personnel retire with 20 years of service.
He went on to add that in these circumstances, the organization needs to take concrete action to recruit new forces, as it does to rebuild facilities, vehicles and stations.
Jafari reiterated that during these years, Qom Fire department managed to attract new forces and train them.
The municipality official stated that Important measures have been taken in recent years while noting that fire stations in Qom have grown by 100% in past years and we have increased stations from 12 to 24.
The Director General of the Fire and Safety Services Organization of Qom Municipality concluded that due to the purchases made in the fire department, we have a high position in the country and the development of firefighting equipment and facilities in Qom is not comparable to 5 years ago.
