The CEO of Qom Municipality Waste Management Organization said that 5 thousand waste storage tanks have been distributed across the city since the beginning of the year.
Referring to the distribution of waste storage tanks in different units, Seyyed Abdullah Mirebrahimi noted that y providing tanks to offices, banks, etc., as well as separating them and delivering them to recycling stations, there will be a great help in separating waste.
He stated that the purpose of implementing this plan is to protect the environment, prevent the wastage of national capital and natural resources, reduce the amount of urban waste and improve the general culture of citizens in the field of waste separation.
He went on to say that after providing training to service officials and office staff, the platform for participation is provided by delivering storage tanks.
Touching upon the role of training citizen in reducing production waste, he reiterated that education of guilds, citizens and students is one of the measures aimed at reducing waste production and separating waste from the source.
