Over 7000 tents set up in Qom parks for Arbaeen pilgrims

The head of the accommodation committee of the Qom Municipality Pilgrim Facilities Headquarters declared more than 7,000 tents have been established in five parks that prepared as emergency accommodations for Arbaeen pilgrims and travelers since September 8.

Payam Javadian made the announcement while stating that the five campsites of Qom city have been activated on the occasion of the presence of pilgrims in the city.

Due to a large number of pilgrims in the holy city of Qom, special measures have been taken and parks have been prepared as pilgrim camps to host these pilgrims for temporary accommodation.

He further emphasized that these campsites have been welcoming Arbaeen pilgrims since the middle of September.

Mahdi (AS) Park in District 1, Imam Reza (AS) Park in District 2, Fadak Park in District 3, Niaz and Niayesh Park in District 5 and Ghadir Park in District 8 will be in charge of providing services to pilgrims during these days, he noted.

Pointing out that since September 8, more than 7 thousand tents have been set up by the Arbaeen Hosseini pilgrims in these five parks, the official added, “This reception of pilgrims continues until the days after the Arbaeen Hosseini.”
