Iran’s self-sufficiency a role model for the world: Niamey mayor

The mayor of Niamey says Iran’s self-sufficiency is a role model for the world, and if all Islamic countries followed Iran, we could form a great power in the Islamic world against arrogance, stressing Iran’s progress and development.

Oumarou Dogari Moumouni made the comments in a meeting with Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaeiannejad, the mayor of Qom while touching upon the development of Iran and the city of Qom, as well.

The development of Qom city and Iran has been very interesting for me and until I came to Iran, I did not have such an idea about here and we are surprised, the Niamey mayor stated.

Sanctions have accelerated Iran’s progress and development and failed to create obstacles for Iran and flourish the talents of Iranians, and we believe that if all Islamic countries had followed Iran, we could have formed a great power in the Islamic world against arrogance, he reiterated.

Iran’s progress is a role model for Niger and can be a guide for many countries in various fields; Niger also has challenges, and we try to use Iran’s experience to solve these problems, he added.

Moreover, he pointed to the four strengths of Qom and said: “Despite the fact that Qom is a desert city, today it is one of the green cities of the country and this is a very important point in this city and now one of our issues is environmental protection and we can benefit from your experience.”

The cleanliness and economic development of the city are other positive points of Qom and its good management is the fourth feature of this city that is remarkable and very instructive for us. Also, enjoying a rich history and ancient civilization has made it attract the attention of the world, he concluded.
