Number of recycling booths in Qom reaches 54

The head of the Qom Municipality Waste Management Organization announced that the number of recycling booths reached 54 in the city.

Seyyed Abdullah Mirebrahimi made the announcement referring to the layout and increase of special booths for dry waste collection in the city.

In order to improve the level of separation of waste from the source, the issue of the dry waste collection vehicle fleet has recently received special attention, he said.
Because this fleet enjoys a very good potential and by taking advantage of its capacity, it will be possible to collect dry waste in a proper way, he added.
He then announced the equipping of booths, gift showcases, heating and cooling devices, electricity branches, window installation, and other necessary items.
The municipality official went on to note that these activities are performed continuously in order to make and keep the booths active.
Moreover, the head of the Qom Municipality Waste Management Organization pointed to the implementation of programs such as the exchange of dry waste with books as well as apartment and decorative flowers in the booths across the city.
Citizens’ participation in the separation of dry and wet waste was a factor in increasing the number of booths implementing the project, he reiterated.
