ith the presence of Seyyed Mohammad Taghi Shahcheraqi, Provincial Governor, Ahmad Hajizadeh and Ebrahim Motamedi, Deputy Governors, Abbas Zakerian, Governor, Mashallah Saadatmand, Chairman of Qom Islamic Council and a number of members of the city and village Islamic councils, governors, districts and villagers were among those who were present in the conference.
Delivering a speech at the conference, Seyed Mohammad Taghi Shahcheraqi, Governor of Qom stated that the management of the province is ready to have the most interaction with the members of the councils in the field of serving the people of the city and the village, and to make the necessary follow-ups from the central institutions in matters that are beyond the province’s power.
For his part, Mashallah Saadatmand, Chairman of the Islamic Council of Qom Province also said that the Islamic councils of cities and villages have not yet reached their true status during the 23 years since its formation; There is a will in the current government and parliament to delegate decision-making at the local and urban levels to this institution by amending some laws and regulations.
