The representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Iran has visited some green space and waste projects of Qom Municipality.
During his one-day stay in Qom, Claudio Providas has paid a visit to urban projects including waste management and green space projects.
On this trip, in addition to meeting with Dr. Saghaiannejad, the mayor of Qom, he visited the 1000-hectare park and birds garden to get acquainted with the capacities of Qom’s green space.
The representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Iran also visited the Alborz waste site and waste processing line and was informed about the activities of this center.
UNDP, in coordination with the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, cooperates with various organizations and institutions in Iran, including municipalities, on sustainable development in various fields, including urban areas, and Qom Municipality cooperates with UNDP to use technical and educational assistance.
