Chief councilor announces 21% increase in 1401 budget of Qom Municipality

The head of the Islamic City Council of Qom announced a 21 percent increase in the 1401 budget, saying this year’s budget has been the most regular and prioritized one in the past few years with regard to the conditions of the people.

Dr. Hossein Eslami made the announcement in the meeting of the members of the Islamic City Council of Qom with Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, the director of the seminaries of the country.

He touched upon the plans of the Islamic City Council of Qom in approving the budget and stated that the municipality’s budget in 1400 was 3,600 billion tomans, of which almost 95% has been realized.

He examined the real inflation in the country’s economy, adding, “In 1401, it was necessary to increase the municipality budget to more than 8,000 billion to run the city, but this number put additional pressure on the people.”

The 1401 budget was approved with a total amount of 4,250 billion tomans, and we hope to increase our performance from stable revenues throughout the year, he concluded.
